It’s good to invest while you are young. Different kinds of investments are available such as stock markets, mutual funds, banks and properties. Examples of properties that can be a good source of investment are lands, antiques, jewelleries and many more, because the market value of these properties becomes higher. While young, try to buy properties that will benefit you in the future. For many women, the easiest way of investing is buying jewelleries like ring, necklace, earring, anklets and faberge jewellery. Well, I think I have to ask my mom to collect jewelleries and sell them after five, ten or twenty years haha!

Holiday Sale

Holidays are near so we must be ready for shopping because malls usually offer holiday sale during this season. Last year, I shopped to buy things for Christmas like gifts, foods and clothes. In our country, employees receive 13^th month pay and other companies give bonuses so people are rich during Holidays. Malls take advantage to that so they offer discounted items starting from personal to household. Last year I also saw Christmas tree, lights, decors and faberge for sale. Faberge eggs became popular in the late 1800s and early 1900s. That time, only famous and powerful people in Russia and Europe owned Faberge eggs; Queen Elizabeth I was one of them. Well, it’s nice to see faberge for sale especially in Holiday season.

Thinking of Gifts

Thinking of a gift to give to my loved ones in every occasion is pressuring me. For example, every Christmas, I have to think of a gift not similar with my gift last year. To think that I have numerous godchildren and relatives, giving them joy is my primary goal but it’s a little bit hard hehe. There times when I give them money as a gift; my older relatives like that but children don’t. As a result, I prepare a list of gifts every year, I will archive them (create a separate folder on my email perhaps) and then compare the list for this year to the last year. There, I think it will be convenient now to buy gifts this coming Christmas.   

Our Gift to Grandma

We celebrated grandma’s 82^nd birthday last Monday. That day was really special to her because her grandchildren were complete and it was like a big family reunion aside from Christmas or New Year family gatherings. My grandma has eight children and my dad is the eldest so the gift from him must be special hahaha! My sister and I thought to give grandma a chocolate cake with two sets of number 82-shaped candles colored blue and red (two sets). Father’s other siblings also gave grandma some presents like ice cream, clothes, money, special bread and more. However, for grandma, her children and grandchildren’s presence is the most important gift on her birthday.

I have a high school classmate who is now a Dentist. He and his wife run a dental clinic in our hometown. I once visited their dental clinic and I witnessed their being nice and caring to their patients. I guess they are like the Dentists Olympia in terms of dedication and hardwork. Dentists Olympia are professionals that you would love to visit when you have a dental problem. Diamonds are Forever

Diamond is one of the hardest minerals exists on the face of the Earth. There is a saying that “Only a diamond can cut a diamond” and I believe in that. Do you know that diamond comes from a mineral called “carbon”? Carbon is present in charcoal compressed by time (for million years) and heat and form a diamond. I sometimes tell my girlfriend that I can give our children legacy diamonds by giving them a sack of charcoal but they have to wait for million years so that they can get the diamond LOL. Well, that’s only a joke and I don’t want to wait for million years because I may surely be a just fossil when that time comes. Diamonds can be a design not only for jewelleries but also in clothes (but not real diamond), crowns and ornaments like in Faberge eggs. Whoa I suddenly remember my mom because she likes to buy faberge with diamond design. House Ornaments

My mom likes buying house ornaments. When it comes to house things, she is quite meticulous so the ornaments should have high quality and standard. What do I mean by ornaments with high quality and standard? Well, she likes expensive antique jars, dining table made of narra wood, elegant looking living room cabinets and beautiful artificial plants and flowers. She also plans to buy either cuckoo or small grandfather’s clock or she wants maple ones to complement the colour of our wall which is yellow. The Queen Mother

Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon or popularly known as the “Queen Mother” was the mother of Queen Elizabeth of Britain. When I watched the movie “The King’s Speech”, Helena Bonham Carter (my favourite British actress) played as the queen mother. Positively, she had given justice to the role as a patient, gentle, and loving wife and mother.

 The Queen Mother lived her life to the fullest. Many people in England remember her as the gentle, peace loving and caring queen. Indeed she became the one of the most famous personalities in the British royalty. Sadly, she died in her sleep days after her second daughter Princess Margaret in 2004 at the age of 102. She left her assets to her only surviving daughter Elizabeth II. Among her assets are money, jewelleries, paintings, horses and Faberge eggs. The late queen was fond of collecting Faberge eggs because of their elegance and beauty; really looks like faberge egg for sale that I have seen in some stores. The late queen was buried in Westminster Abbey; her coffin was placed on the Tomb of The Unknown Warrior.

Looking Forward to Valentine’s Day

I’m quite excited to Valentine’s Day even though my girlfriend is working in Dubai now. I am thinking of surprising her wonderful gift and guess what? Two silver necklaces with faberge pendants wohoooo! I was browsing on the internet earlier in the office (it was lunch time haha) when I saw beautiful necklaces in one website. My girlfriend loves necklaces and she prefers silver rather than gold. No matter how expensive the gift is, it doesn’t matter to me (as long as I can afford it LOL) because I love my girlfriend yay! Well, let’s go back to the necklace LOL. I chose faberge pendants because they look elegant and beautiful; perfect for my girlfriend. They say that women appreciate more their womanhood if they wear the things they like. I really am excited for the Valentine ’s Day though I know that I have to prepare first for this coming Christmas season haha.

Having Insurance is Good

Having insurance is great help especially if you don’t have a big amount of money in the bank. For example you buy a car, if you want to have peace of mind if something happens to your car, then you apply for insurance. Not only car, you can also insure your house, health, life, business, building and others. In short, insurance gives us peace of mind. In my case I have health insurance so if I get sick, I would not have to worry about the consultation and service fee because I am insured. I’m also thinking of getting health insurance for my parents.

The Convenience of Having Your Own Car

In the United States, almost all families own at least one car because it seems like a necessity to them. Unlike in the US, having a car in the Philippines is a status symbol, meaning, your family’s annual income is in the higher bracket. Buying a new or used car in the Philippines seems like expensive for a common Filipino who takes home a minimum pay per month. Well, that’s the sad truth. My family doesn’t own a car and I want to have one in a span of five years because I need it to my work. Moreover, commuting is quite inconvenient for me due to my allergic rhinitis. It attacks when I inhale smoke and dust. Most of the buses that routing to our place is not air conditioned so it’s a pain in the ass. My Vain Sister

My sister is vain when it comes to her body and personal hygiene. She always buys different kinds of cosmetics for her face. She also buys different kinds of soaps for different parts of her body. I always tell her that she already has fair skin but she keeps on insisting that her skin is dark. When it comes to lotion, my sister has three bottles of them; different smells, different flavours (like papaya, avocado and apple). Since my sister likes lotion very much, I have an idea about the gift that I’ll give her on Christmas. I’ll give her l`occitane body lotion as additional to her collection. I bet she will use it immediately the moment she’ll receive it from me because l`occitane body lotion is different from other lotions in her collection. I guess she will recommend it to her friends hahaha!
